Rick brings an interesting and diverse real life background to Red Ball Solutions. He is a retired police officer having served a combined 27 years in the RCMP and the Regina Police Service. Although the majority of Rick’s police service was served as a commercial fraud and homicide investigator, he was also a cultural relations officer and designed and delivered cross cultural training and coaching for police officers and the community as well as delivering courses at the Saskatchewan Police College, the Canadian Police College and the British Columbia Justice Institute. He was the Staff Sergeant in charge of the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit where his unit was responsible for the investigation of homicides, armed robberies and all politically sensitive incidents. Rick concluded his career as the staffing officer in Human Resources where in addition to police recruiting, he was responsible for the construction and implementation of the Service’s human resource strategic plan. After retirement, Rick spent a brief period as an investigator for the Province of Saskatchewan’s Financial Services Branch, Securities Commission before venturing into the business world for five years as a Commercial Real Estate agent.

Rick’s training and practical experience with difficult situations and individuals provide him with a unique perspective and the skills required to address  employee engagement/disengagement. His investigative background makes him especially capable at determining the root cause of problems, while his business background gives him a clear understanding of the importance of providing value and improving the bottom line.

Rick is dedicated to continuous learning. In addition to his many professional courses, he has completed both a two year Senior Police Executive Education Development Course and a Certficate in Administration at the University of Regina.
